http://dx.doi.org/10.5007/1980-4512.2017v19n35p117 This work deals with gender issues in Early Childhood Education, with the general objective of analyzing the planning of six preschool and PPP groups in order to understand how the gender theme is contemplated in the school. The theoretical references include authors such as Joan Scott, Miriam Grossi, Daniela Finco, Daniela Auad, Guacira Lopes Louro, Jane Felipe, among others. This is a qualitative study, with a documental and bibliographic research. Early Childhood Education is usually the first contact of children with the educational institution and, in this way, it is believed that this space needs to contemplate gender discussions so that stereotyped behaviors for girls and boys are not reinforced, normalizing, disciplining and controlling children's attitudes And reinforcing gender roles for each sex. The data of this research indicate that only seven plans contemplate gender equity, considering the total number of 57 plans analyzed.
