AN ALGORITHMFOR OPTIMIZING PREHEATING TEMPERATURE OF HIGH TEMPERATURE RESISTIVE STEEL
Abstract
Present paper describes a study with the purpose to highlight the importance of establishing, by means of algorithmic models, the preheating temperature value of pieces subjected to arc welding, value in discussion being a determining factor evaluating the quality of a welded joint. Optimization was performed using the physical criterion for three types of high temperature resistant steel, and for this three significant parameters were involved: chemical composition, hardness and linear energy of the welding process, therefore obtaining an optimal solution at the crossing of the two functions of time used for elaborating calculus.
