The pipe jacking method has high construction safety, fast tunneling speed, convenient and flexible construction. However, if it is used in deep strata of coal mines, it will face challenges such as high ground stress and complex geological conditions. Taking the pipe jacking tunneling roadway in Zhangji Coal Mine as the engineering background, the similar model test of pipe jacking is carried out to reveal the bearing mechanism of pipe, and the design parameters of pipe are determined to the test results. Combined with the monitoring data of the construction site, the construction experience is summarized as follows: pipe deflection and slurry leakage are the main factors causing pipe damage. Under the premise of rectification and sealing work, the pipe jacking method has great advantages in coal mine gas and water disaster control roadway excavation engineering.
