Nicolas Antonio describes in his Bibliotheca Hispana Nova a book that was written by the inquisitor Juan Adam de la Parra. He had not seen any copy of this book, not even years later, therefore questioned the existence of the book. Its title was Pro pace sancienda, which was cited by Joseph Pellicer, but he attributed it to a different author, Madavite. The note of that book is in the Inventory of Pellicer’s private library. We are currently studying it, since it is unpublished. This note at Pellicer’s Inventory has helped to the identification of Adam de la Parra’s book. This discovery has changed the belief that this book had never been printed before and has helped to locate it in different libraries. Pro pace sancienda describes new aspects of the inquisitor.
