Education for and by the collectivity by Krupskaya, Pistrak, and Shulgin: requirement in resistance times, in schools linked to the MST, in Paraná
Abstract
The objective is to seek foundations in Russian socialist pedagogy, especially the works of Krupskaya, Pistrak and Shulgin, through the human emancipation perspective as an instrument to fight against the advances of capital, especially in the rural education, in rural schools linked to the MST in Paraná. The research was made based on the selection and analyses of specific bibliographies, in addition to reading reports from rural schools linked to the Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (Movement of Landless Rural Workers) about actions taken to implement this kind of education. The text is written in three parts: firstly, we briefly analyzed the Russian Revolution context (1917) to comprehend the authors’ time; next, we explained the authors’ thoughts about education for and by the collectivity, based on some particular aspects; and, finally, we presented pedagogical practices developed in our schools to educate in this perspective. We concluded that educating ‘for and by collectivity’ is not a methodology, but a requirement in the process of formation of the working class. We can already observe results in the schools in question, as we have advanced in the self-organization of students, in the collective planning of teachers, in dialogue with communities to carry out socially necessary work.
