QUANTIFICATION, CHARACTERIZATION AND COMPOSITION PARTICULATE MATTER 2.5, FROM THE USE OF THE COMBARBALITA
Abstract
In this work, the results of the particulate material is PM 2.5 in the city of Combarbala, by exploitation and carving of the "Combarbalita", are shown. The monitoring was conducted between the months of September 2010 and May 2011. Determining PM 2.5 with a suction pump, quantifying the concentration of some metals using atomic absorption spectroscopy. Checking the morphological characteristics of the components, using the technique of immersion microscopy. The average is 22.50 PM 2.5 mg/m3, being under the EPA's recommended values. Items with higher concentrations are iron, copper, lead and zinc, cadmium has the lowest concentration. Particles smaller than 2.5 .mu.m and bordering the 36.11% of total analyzed, which have dimensions of 4 to 10 microns added 50%. Combarbalá has concluded that low levels of particulate pollution PM 2.5.
