Abstract

This article explores the issue of knowledge and epistemology. By exchanging on their respective disciplinary perspectives, methods and approaches, the authors question the production and circulation of knowledge. They bring a sociological approach to the circulation of ideas, including postcolonial studies, into dialogue with feminist standpoint epistemologies and Donna Haraway’s idea that knowledge is always "situated". They discuss the interest and difficulties of this perspective in attempting to develop an epistemological reflection at the crossroads of philosophy and social sciences.
