The capitalism survival and the revalorization of Lisbon centre - Baixa Pombalina's revitalization

Abstract

The article presents considerations of theoretic-methodological nature by using the referential presented by Henri Lefèbvre, concerning the survival of the capitalism and of the investigation method. To this respect one understands that the capitalism changes along the time to guarantee your hegemony, having a re-production of the production relationships. Retaking the dialectic, it is analyzed the different temporalities of the present, identifying the marks in the social relationships, disassembling the apparent simultaneity of the reality, when it opens up the possibility for the accomplishment of a still virtual future. The city of Lisbon is investigated under this logic, in a case study that looks for the identification of these conceptual elements, where the process of revalorization of the downtown is shown as a full theme to the verification of the worked presuppositions
