STRATEGIC LINE OF FUTHER TRAINING OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN THE PRESENT CONTEXT
Abstract
The purpose of the study was to identify key points for refresher training of primary school teachers in modern conditions. In addition, our task was to correlate the process of practical teachers training with the current normative and legal framework in the field of education. Previous studies have indicated that in recent years the refresher training of primary school teachers is associated either with the specifics of their professional activities or with the organization of the process of educating students. At the same time, the normative legal acts and normative documents adopted in recent years (Federal Law No. 273-FZ “On Education in the Russian Federation”, the Professional Standard “Teacher”, the Federal State Educational Standard of Primary General Education) clearly define the main provisions regarding the components of the organization of this process.” Data for this study were collected on the basis of a comparative-contrastive and retrospective analysis of the works of educators and psychologists; studying normative and legal documentation in the education field; modeling the process of refresher training of primary school teachers. The research showed that the guiding line of professional activities of primary school teachers in modern conditions is the implementation of the system-activity approach that provides socio-cultural development (socialization) of junior schoolchildren. This determined the goals and direction of this process. A.A. Verbitsky’s ideas of continuing education served as the basis for the content and organizational forms of refresher training of primary school teachers. We consider it possible to focus on three content modules when planning advanced courses for primary school teachers in modern conditions: informative-motivating, content-oriented and constructive-transformative. The content of each module, as a functional component of the system of primary school teachers refresher training, includes the components specified in the Law “On Education”: goals, direction, forms, educational technologies and content of advanced training. The proposed model can be used in developing the content of programs for additional professional education.
