PERENNIAL DYNAMICS OF SILICON COMPOUNDS CHANGE In SURFACE WATER CATCHMENT OF KUYALNIK ESTUARY

Abstract

Based on laboratory and field studies conducted in different seasons during 2003-2010 years we assessed the dynamics of interannual changes in the concentration of silicon in the waters of the estuary and its main watercourses and analyzed spatial distribution of silicon in the waters of the estuary during the study period. Studied the principal tendencies of change in the concentrations of silicon depending on the season, salinity and the volumes of silicon intake with surface streamflow into the estuary. Discussed the migration of silicon between water and sediments.
