Revenue Management and pricing procedure are key issues for the service sector. Experience of air carriers in the field of revenue management can be seen as an example of increasing profits and creating value of the company at a time when the possibilities of further increases in productivity and cost savings have been exhausted. Having at disposal limited financial reserves and low possibilities of further reductions in operating costs, companies operating in the aviation industry began to intensively seek to improve economic efficiency, by activating the supply carried out within a wider range of modern portfolio of additional services. The study attempts to define this concept, presents the genesis and essence of the techniques of obtaining revenue for services other than tickets, shows the classification of that kind of revenue and points out its importance in the economic balance of the carriers operating in the low cost sector. It also presents elements of the revenue management system on which organizations must particularly focus in order to properly implement the concept discussed herein.
