IMPROVING GREEN BEHAVIOR THROUGH MAKING ECOBRICK ART FROM PLASTIC WASTE IN CLASS IV STUDENTS OF SD NEGERI 1 BANJAR JAVA
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in green behavior of fourth-grade students through making eco-brick art from plastic waste at SD Negeri 1 Banjar Jawa. The approach used in this study is quantitative, with the type of research using the experimental method, and the form of experimental design used by the researcher is a group pretest-posttest design. The subjects in this study were fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Banjar Jawa; in this case, the treatment of fourth-grade students with a sample size of 30 students. The data collection techniques used in this study included observation, documentation, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing through paired sample t-tests. All calculations were carried out using SPSS IBM 21. The results showed that the green behavior of fourth-grade students before being given treatment was 78.47%. Then, given treatment, making eco-brick art from plastic waste increased to 95.57%. The increase in the attitude of fourth-grade students' green behavior was 17.10%. Based on statistical calculations through the Paired Sample t-Test, it shows that tcount < ttable, namely - 8.297 < 1.697 and sig. 0.000 < 0.05 so that 𝐻1 is accepted. The conclusion of this study shows that there is an increase in green behavior after being given treatment by making eco brick art from plastic waste at SD Negeri 1 Banjar Jawa.
