Study on structure and process performance of laser cladding nickel-based coating
Abstract
Thermal fatigue and wear are the main failure modes of metal parts, which are mostly found on the surface of the parts. Therefore, There is great significance for improving the service life of the parts on strengthening the surface of the parts. The biological surfaces are used as bionic model to design and laser prepare bionic surfaces with parallel structure, square structure and triangle structure. The bionic surface samples are studied on the thermal fatigue characteristics and wear resistance. Based on experimental research, the bionic structure is helpful to improve the thermal fatigue resistance and wear resistance comparing with the untreated specimen surface. Triangular structure is better than parallel structure and square structure. The amount of wear changes nonlinearly with time every bionic structure.
