Fragmentación política del centrismo Español, 1981-1982. De la UCD al CDS en el caso de Zamora
Abstract
The present article focuses on the study of UCD (Unión de Centro Democrático)’s decomposition and its interrelation with the genesis of the CDS (Centro Democrático y Social) in the province of Zamora, referring to the national dimension of both processes, within the context of the Spanish Transition. For this purpose, we will use documentary direct sources and articles of press. In order to interweave our argumentation, we will move on the theoretical frame developed by Jonathan R. Hopkin in his classic study on UCD’s crisis. We will value the weight of the fights of power and the ideological beliefs as reasons of UCD’s decomposition and later formation of the CDS.
