Because of the economical impossibility of the Colombian Hospitals to finance the ever increasing costs of the pacemakers, we have been forced to look for an alternate biological solution. Using as our anatomical model the bundle of Kent in patients suffering from WPW, we have devised a simple surgical technique to form a muscular conductíve "bypas" between the auricles and the ventricles. Of the four dogs that were subjected to this technique, two suggest that effective conduction occurs. The resulting EKG's were similar to those from patients with WPW in one case, and in the other paroxistic tachicardias were observed.
