Teatro y burla en José Joaquín Benegasi y Luján (1707-1770): noticia de sus piezas dramáticas breves y edición anotada de El tiro a la Discreción

Abstract

This paper offers an approach to José Joaquín Benegasi y Luján’s theatre (1707-1770), a writer specialised in serious-comic literature. Benegasi’s dramatic work is composed of five short pieces: La campana de descasar, El papillote, El ingenio apurado, El tiro a la Discreción and El Amor casamentero. In addition to these pieces, one could also mention his burlesque comedy entitled Llámenla como quisieren. At the end, the paper presents an annotated edition of the interlude El tiro a la Discreción.
