On connections between lixine weevils and different plant organs (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Lixinae)

Abstract

Наbitat and feeding of the weevils from subfamily Lixinae are considered. As to larvae specialization three groups of these beetles are pointed: rhizophagous, caulophagous and anthocarpophagous. Impact of different characteristics of vegetative and reproductive plant organs to ecology of Lixinae is discussed
