Parasites of cold climates: A danger or in danger?
Abstract
The climate is rapidly changing in the Arctic and will undoubtedly affect the interaction between parasites, the environment, and their hosts with potentially detrimental impacts on the health and welfare of Arctic peoples. In this special issue of FAWPAR, several food and waterborne parasites or groups of parasites are addressed by key experts and their perspectives should be a basis for motivating scientists, veterinarians, and physicians to collaborate in a One Health perspective on parasite dynamics in Arctic regions.
