Literaturas africanas comparadas e Oceano Índico. Contrapontos críticos para uma reflexão em torno do romance histórico no Índico africano

Abstract

Addressing the critical debate on the genre of historical novel within postmodern and postcolonial studies, this article aims at proposing a critical itinerary based on a comparative and transnational approach to African literatures and thus promoting a (re)definition of the writing of history, throughout the conceptual category of the “evidential novel” within the space-time of the African Indian Ocean.
