A dedication to Neptune discovered in 1963 at Feriana, the ancient Thelepte in Africa Proconsularis, has long remained on the sidelines of studies on ancient Africa. Briefly reported and published several times, this very short text is the only document of this type from this very important but very little excavated site. It also attests a very rare name, Magaricus, which until then was only attested in Sicca Veneria in the form Macaricus, close to the ethnonym Mager / Magar precisely attested in this region of Tunisia since Antiquity.
