Practical recommendations for vaccination of patients with intrauterine infection

Abstract

Vaccination is one of the most effective and cost-effective means of reducing infectious diseases. However, the effectiveness of vaccination is determined by a huge number of different factors: gender, age, genetic characteristics that determine the level of the immune response, the presence of comorbid conditions. In addition, a significant role in the effectiveness of vaccination belongs to the vaccine itself. In recent years, special attention has been paid to the detection of intrauterine or congenital infections in children, the frequency of which reaches 52.2%. The most common clinical manifestations of intrauterine infections are infections, damage to the central nervous system, liver, genitourinary system, and hematopoietic system. The appearance of signs of intrauterine infections often leads to the fact that children are not vaccinated in a timely manner. At the same time, it was shown that patients with intrauterine infections, including premature babies, children with malnutrition, immunodeficiency states, die from controlled infections significantly more often than their peers without comorbid conditions. In this article, vaccination opportunities for patients with intrauterine infection are formulated, which allow immunizing children with various health conditions in accordance with the vaccination calendar and additional vaccines for selective indications.
