Background: Fibromyalgia is a highly prevalent musculoskeletal disorder. Despite this, it gets much depreciation by society, patients, and even doctors. Objectives: The objective of the study was to improve our deep understanding of the various spheres of its pathophysiology, and to realize the importance of continuous medical/patient education in this topic. Contents: Fibromyalgia is slowly being associated with some biologic markers. Its treatment is most of the times lacking in success, especially because of the psychosocial aspect of this disease. Explaining fibromyalgic syndrome broadly to our patients will increase the chances of significant recover. Conclusion: Education might just be the missing key to a better overall success in treating and managing this condition.
