Abstract
The profession related to urban sounds and music underwent a booming moment in the Golden Age, so it’s really interesting to know the degree of spreading of literacy learning in a heterogeneous and metropolitan socioprofessional group like that, through their signatures on Provincial Historical Archive of Seville notarial registry. This paper sets out getting guiding conclusions on their literacy degree, their graphic models inclinations, their level of graphic ability and its relationship to their labour conditions, their social origin, their parish membership and their professional speciality.
