Abstract

The aim of this study, based on the hypothesis that there is a close relationship between budget deficits and monetary growth,is to determine the effect of these variables on inflation for Turkish economy using quarterly data on 1980-2014 period. The ARDL bounds testing approach is used in determining this relationshipbecause of variables at different levels stationary as a result of stability analysis.According to the results, while there is a significant and positive relationship between inflation and money supply, there is not significant relationship between inflation and the budget deficit in the long term
