Design of Direct Power Control for Distributed Generation Units in Multi-Bus Microgrid
Abstract
The increasing existence of inverter-based DG units in microgrid applications requires appropriate control methods that can provide high stability and performance of the system. Since the power control in microgrids is imperative and on the other hand, nowadays, the presence of the single-phase DGs has increased, so in this paper, an adaptive control scheme based on sliding mode control(SMC) is used to control the active and reactive power components of single-phase and three-phase inverterbased photovoltaics as distributed energy resources (DERs) which simultaneously are located at islanded ac microgrid with multi-bus. The proposed control method shown to be robust, stable and disturbancerejection performance under microgrid parameter uncertainties . The performance of the proposed control approach is evaluated through simulation studies using Matlab/Simulink under a unbalanced load conditions at the microgrid.
