Semiconductor photocatalysts have great potential in solving global energy shortage and environmental pollution, while graphite nitride (g-C3N4) is limited in photocatalytic degradation of pollutants due to its unique physicochemical, optical and electrical properties. In this paper, the preparation of g-C3N4 and GCC composite samples were reviewed. The photocatalytic performance and activity of composite samples were analyzed using rhodamine B dye as the target pollutant. At the same time, the cyclic stability, free radical trapping and catalytic mechanism of GCC composite samples were investigated.
