The importance and role of auto lubricants in thermal engines of road vehicles

Abstract

It is appreciated that the engine is the heart of the motor vehicle, and the lubricant is considered the blood that ensures its good operation. The life and reliability of any motor vehicle is dependent on the user's attention to care and timely performance of technical overhauls and engine oil changes. The scientific work presents a concrete research carried out by the authors in order to implement some concepts, in which the technical aspects of the lubricants used in the thermal engines of motor vehicles are presented through an analysis of three types of engine lubricant from three major manufacturers in the field. In this way, those interested can learn about the type, technical characteristics, functions, role, necessity and the importance of motor lubricants for the proper functioning of car thermal engines. Finally, the conclusions in the addressed field are presented.
