Abstract

Abstract: The novel "The Gate of Memories" relies on formal variations and thematic and artistic developments to explore questions of cultural structures in their strongest manifestations and interactions, which were shaped by the major transformations experienced by Algerian society during the French occupation. Western culture contributed to significant shifts in the development of Algerian society, necessitating a new analytical approach and conceptual framework to understand these changes. The research aims to analyze how Asia Jaber represents the process of renewal in Algerian literature through her novel "The Gate of Memories." This is achieved by engaging with contemporary novels and uncovering their secrets, hopes, contexts, and linguistic aesthetics. The research provides a comprehensive analysis of the novel’s elements and how it reflects cultural and social transformations in Algeria, highlighting its importance and impact on contemporary Algerian literature.
