Peat processing of the Saratov province in 1919–1921

Abstract

The history of the peat industry both on the scale of Russia and in the regional framework of the Saratov province is a poorly studied topic. The article examines various aspects of the functioning of peat mining in Kuznetsk, Serdobsky, Petrovsky counties. When writing the article, the materials of the archival funds of the Glavtorf of the Russian State Archive of Economics, the provincial Council of the State Archive of the Saratov Region, the Serdobsky County Council of the State Archive of the Penza Region and publications in the periodical press of the 1920s were not used in scientific circulation.
