Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article is the result of a study that combines quantitative and qualitative methods in order to better understand the criteria for the application of the principle of insignificance by the Brazil Federal Supreme Court, as well as whether these criteria are considered by the judges of first instance to decide on crimes of theft in a specific region of Rio de Janeiro.
