Az igei jelentés metaforizációjának mintázatai. Nyelvtan- és korpuszvezérelt esettanulmányok [On linguistic patterns of metaphoric verb meanings. Grammar-driven and corpus-driven case studies]
Abstract
The paper proposes a new account for metaphoric meaning in the frameworks of Cognitive Grammar and Pattern Grammar. Through a quantitative analysis of the data in the Hungarian National Corpus2 it explores the collocational patterns being characteristic to the Hungarian verb forms megtámadja ('attacks sg'), megrohanja ('assaults sg') and megrohamozza ('makes an assault on sg'). On the other hand, it offers a new method for filtering and qualitatively analysing the metaphoric occurrences of the verb form based on the notions of profile determinacy and schema reconfiguration. The result of harmonizing a grammar-driven and a corpus-driven methodology is the description of the stable constructional patterns expressing the metaphoric meanings of the investigated verb forms, as well as the recognition of their variability. Thus, in addition to find new patterns of metaphorical use of Hungarian, the study elaborates a combined methodology for generalizing constructions from collocations. *** A tanulmány újszerűen közelíti meg a metaforikus jelentést. Egyfelől a Magyar Nemzeti Szövegtár2 korpuszában előforduló kollokációs struktúrák kvantitatív elemzésével tárja fel, milyen jellemző kollokációs megoldásai vannak a megtámadja, megrohanja, megrohamozza igealakok metaforizálódásának. Másfelől a profilmeghatározásra és a sematikus jelentés átrendeződésére építő magyarázattal kínál eszközt a metaforikus szerkezetek szűrésére és kvalitatív elemzésére. A korpuszvezérelt és a nyelvtanvezérelt módszertan összehangolása mentén a tanulmány rámutat arra, hogy több különböző konstrukció stabilizálódik tipikus metaforikus jelentések kifejezésére, e konstrukciók azonban változatosságot is mutatnak. A metaforikus jelentés részleteinek leírásán túl új utakat keres a metaforakutatás módszertani és generalizációs lehetőségeiben, és előkészíti a metaforizálódás tendenciáinak nyelvi rendszerbe illesztett bemutatását.
