THE EFFECT OF FOLIAR APPLIED GLUCOSE ON THE YIELD AND CHLOROPHYLL CONTENT OF WHEAT (Triticum aestium L.) GROWN AT DIFFERENT PHOTOPERIODS
Abstract
The effect of foliar glucose application on the yield and chlorophyll content of wheat grown in the growth camber at 3, 6, 12 and 24 hour photoperiods was investigated. According to experimental results, yield and chlorophyll content of the plants increased with the increasing photoperiods. The effect of glucose on the yield and chlorophyll content was found more effective in the plants grown at long photoperiods.
