CONSIDERAÇÕES SOBRE O ENQUADRAMENTO DA QUALIDADE DAS ÁGUAS SUBTERRÂNEAS DE BLUMENAU – SC, QUANTO À RESOLUÇÃO CONAMA 396
Abstract
The Blumenau´s groundwaters characterization was done in six stages of sampling and analyzing studies. It was based on 66 wells, which were Installed in superficial and also deep aquifers where was determinated, beyond other variables: total iron, sodium, chloride, fluoride, nitrate, sulphate and total coliforms and thermotolerant coliforms. The variables used derived from the recently edited resolution no 396 of CONAMA (National Council of Environment). The results of these variables were analyzed based on their interaction with the regional environmental factors, such as: land use, anthropic activities, and geological substrates. The local use of groundwater is domestic and industrial, with aquifers very different in depth and productivity. The study shows waters in acceptable quality conditions; however the quality of the majority of the waters does not follow the parameters dictated in the mentioned resolution for best quality waters. It is evident that urgent measures need to be adopted in order to preserve the good quality waters, and also to avoid the decay of already affected groundwaters Key-words: Groundwaters; Groundwater quality; Blumenau - SC.
