Baudelaire et le Malentendu
Abstract
The article examines the place of the Misunderstanding in the thought and in the literary work of Baudelaire. Starting from a posthumous fragment, we approach the universality of the Misunderstanding to that of the original sin. This is then developed in the sense of the confusion of languages after the fall, according to the reflections of the young Walter Benjamin. Finally, we try to show that the Misunderstanding is incorporated as a theme and as a structural element of some poems by Baudelaire.
