At the present time Adult Education is a focus of interest for educators and politicians in the whole world. There is no particular institution which is totally responsible for or specialized in AE. We rind that a variety of social, cultural, and educational agencies are each involved in an important way in this form of education. In the Arab world the Colleges of Education are the primary institutions responsible for leadership in AE. The author stated that AE is not yet satisfactorily defined. For that reason many programs which are undertaken in AE do not achieve their goals. Adult Education is a unique kind of education. The author discussed the modes and roles of AE from three viewpoints: A. training B. community service C. academic courses. A model was presented which showed how the College of Education can serve the community by three methods through a variety of points of contact such as ministries and public and private agencies. The author also discussed systems for delivering the services offered. Coordination of AE efforts through the supervision of the Colleges of Education will result in proper utilization of available AE resources. The author concluded his discussion by recommending nine steps for improving the achievement of these goals through Colleges of Education.
