This study focuses on two talk shows : Vie privée, vie publique and On ne peut pas plaire à tout le monde. The authors single out the distinguishing linguistic-discursive characteristics of the genre and the main differences between the talk shows with regard to the role of the host, the line of questioning, the level of language usage, and the degree of interactivity.
