Abstract
This article discusses three poems by Joaquin Alliende, starting from the most recurrent topic we can find in his poetic texts, that is, the existence of a merciful God who will be able to decode the senselessness that threatens human life. This analysis has been completed on the basis of indirect allusions and textual quotations that connect these poems with the cultural tradition.
