Differentiated approach in teaching children with different types of functional asymmetry.
Abstract
The results of the research are presented due to the necessity of developing a strategy of a differentiated approach to the development of children, taking into account their age, sex, and individual characteristics. It is noted that in the ordinary school it is easy to study children with low functional asymmetry of the hemispheres (equinoxus), that is, those who, in the training of sign systems, can use not only the left-hemisphere, but also the right-hemisphere strategies. The psychophysiological features of boys and girls with different types of functional asymmetry in educational activities are analyzed. It is shown that at the individual level there are clear psychological sexual differences, which tend to increase with age. They include, for example, a lower rate of reaction to light and sound stimuli in boys, a greater field of vision in girls. The distinct differences in the psychological characteristics of boys and girls are obtained in four groups of characteristics: girls dominate boys by verbal abilities, boys are better than girls in spatial abilities, boys have better mathematical abilities, boys are more aggressive than girls. It is proved that in order to ensure the harmonization of the work of mental processes, it is necessary to use a differentiated system of selection of teaching methods in accordance with the psychophysiological profile of the child, the individual rates of maturation of his nervous system, etc
