Incorporation of ICT by Colombian university professors
Abstract
This paper presents an investigation on the application of ICT by Colombian teachers, reflecting the experience of teachers of the Social Communication career at the Francisco de Paula Santander Ocaña University. The selected method was qualitative descriptive. The results obtained were given through the application of a semi-structured interview directed to four professors of the chairs: Quantitative Research, Life Project, Expression and graphic design and Press, as well as the non-participatory observation of the intervention and contributions from 15 students of the chosen subjects. The main conclusion is that the ICT skills of students are related to the micro-pedagogical model of the subjects and to the contribution that each teacher has implemented in the teaching-learning process in the classroom. Hence the importance that the academic program incorporates a new micro-pedagogical model with a clear component of the competencies that students must develop supported by ICT as a transversal axis to the training process of social communicators.
