Research progress on construction of electrochemical sensors for heavy-metal-ions detection based on metal-organic frameworks and their derived materials
Abstract
Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) are a new type of porous coordination polymers, which has gained wide attention in the fabrication of electrochemical sensors due to their excellent properties including large specific surface area, adjustable structure and high porosity. Herein, the electrochemical sensors based on MOFs and their derived materials are introduced and the applications of these electrochemical sensors in the detection of heavy metals are reviewed. The advantages and present limitations of the electrochemical sensors for heavy metal detection are analyzed and the future research is prospected.
