Selecting intentionally the description of our personal research worker’s trajectory, we have lived again the three decisive meetings, travelled through, in a critical way, the three main stages of the institutionalization of our main research, which allowed psychosemiotics and, after, ethosemiotics (semiotics of behaviour) to be born. Some relevant features are coming into view from this self-analysis: the initial necessity of a compromise with the non semiotician partners, the stress put on a little number of conviction operators hitting the addressed persons of our works, last, the acquisition of a own psychoterapist’s competence in order to obtain a plurality of rolls, of knowledges claimed by the pursuit of our researches. Unable, clearly, to judge if our travel is, or isn’t, exemplary, we believe we are giving here the facts which allow the reader to do that evaluation.
