La mortalité des populations sur les fronts pionniers agricoles du Brésil
Abstract
The agricultural pioneers fringes of Brazil are territories in fast transformation whose cause is located in the dynamics of the settlement. Some population rates (demographic growth, migrations, imbalances of the structure by sexe and age) show that at the beginning of the years 2000, the agricultural fringes are mainly at the South of Pará and Amazonas, as in the North of Mato Grosso without it being possible to give of it the image of a line of fringe moving in a coherent way.The study of the medical situation of the populations in the areas of pioneers fringes from the point of view of mortality shows that the mobility of the populations as well as the weakness of the administrative and medical infrastructure hinders the systematic recording of the deaths. It is confirmed that the sanitary transition accompanies the projection of the pioneers fringes. However, the analysis of the causes of death leads to two assumptions relating to the sanitary trajectory followed by these areas: either that of a normal course of the transition more or less in phase with kinematics of the fringes, or that the emergence of the double load, and even towards a triple load if the importance of violence is considered.
