lnvestigation was conducted to find out the effect of sex, period and season of birth on the birth weight of Large White Yorkshire piglets. Data on birth weights of 2209 piglets horn during 1984 to 1992, were used for the study. The overall mean birth weight was 1.15 ± 0.OU4 kg. The period and season of birth significantly (p ~ 0.05) int7uenced the birth weight. The sex of the piglet did not significantly influence the birth weight.
