Basic problem of education mainly related to the limited number of Serbian schools, and the education itself which was straight forwarded. Without knowledge of cultural-educational progress, and general spiritual tradition was not possible to understand either significance or greatness of crucial social-historical events, which were featured neither accidentally nor without fundament by undoubted cultural influence and cultural-historical value. Taking into account the progress of literacy in Kosovo and Metohia from wider aspect, it may be concluded the educational process had had ups and downs, which changed periodically depending upon social and political conditions. It may be said there were schools in the towns, but almost with the same organization and teaching resources, and the same circumstances, and they could not do their best as it had been expected from them. Results of the cultural-educational work conduct of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohia were great. The arrival of new educated teachers in these areas contributed to the considerable improvement of teaching process either as per volume or its character. Besides schools, folk and pedagogic valuable tradition and wider spiritual inheritance were broadening human sights. They represent a link between the old and new one, and represent a significant pre-condition of further spiritual development, so that all schools should be built on the wide network of primary schools, which are not only the source of knowledge and education but fundament of subsequent sciences and knowledge. Only in that way the development of education and enlightenment represent a natural support and irreplaceable fact in state-legal emergence and shaping.
