Research on space potential excavating of existing primary school under the base of schooling demand forecasting model—A case study in new urban districts

Abstract

Along with the implementation of urbanization and the new birth policy, a schooling demand surge appeared in the new development zone of the city, where the population grows rapidly. It led to school space overload and the quality decline。How to excavate space potential of school buildings becomes a problem to be solved. By analyzing the causes of schooling demand surge and space characteristics of the schools, through correlation analysis, the paper summarizes the four major factors influencing the schooling demand, and constructs the demand forecasting model. Based on the schooling demand forecasting index, taking accurate measures, it guides the schools to excavate space potential, and promote the schools to renew scientifically.
