Séropositivités et (em)prises biotechnologiques. Les homosexuels masculins récemment diagnostiqués
Abstract
Based on a longitudinal study combining life-story interviews with an ethnographic field among recently diagnosed gay men, this paper highlights the importance of gender and death issues in HIV-positive individuals. The qualitative method shows the persistence of a HIV stigma and reveals how the biomedical possibility of removing the contaminant load has contributed to a change its management. Speeches about a contaminated body develop a moral questioning about homosexuality, which is considered as a defect of character and responsible for the infection.
