WORLD PRACTICE OF SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONES USING FOR PROMOTION OF THE FOOD PRODUCTION
Abstract
In various World States, there are numerous special economic zones. Among them there are agro-industrial types zones. They are created at different times and in different numbers in India, the Philippines, Haiti, Palestine. Agro-industrial economic zones have common creation parameters. They are territorially isolated, export-oriented, aimed at the use of natural resources and the formation ofpreferential conditions for residents. An example of the functioning of the Philippine agro-industrial economic zones is considered in detail. Characterized features of their creation, commodity specialization, preferential treatment, the composition of residents, listed the main trading partner countries, individual economic performance. Among the latter: the number of operating zones, the amount of attracted investments, the number of jobs created. As a result, a conclusion was made about the effectiveness of the Philippine agro-industrial economic zones.
