Currently, information technology is increasingly being introduced into a person’s life, including helping him more easily adapt to distance work, study, and leisure. Mobile devices combine the real and virtual world. When combining the real world and computer-generated images, augmented reality is formed. The article discusses the options for using augmented reality in botanical gardens for a more informative interaction between science and society: excursion and museum activities, training, and with a virtual herbarium. The future of these technologies is in cloud storage, 5G cellular, wearable electronics.
