MAIN STAGES OF BUKOVINIAN STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY DEVELOPMENT FOR 1974–2020
Abstract
The article presents next part of article’s series about the main stages of development of BSMU from 1974 to the modern times. The purpose of this article is to represent and analyse the most significant events in the history of BSMU in the period 1974– 2020, what focused on the previous study. The relevance of the study means the need to create a positive historical stereotype about BSMU. The method of work is based on the analysis of historiographical publications and archival materials. Conclusions. In the period 1974–2020 the main stages of development of Bukovinian State Medical University were due to historical realities. From 1974 to the mid-1980s, the education system was embedded in the Soviet paradigm of worldview. However the staff of the school clearly adhered to the scientific approach to teaching special subjects, placing very high practical training of young doctors. With the beginning of “perestroika” period of Soviet history in the USSR (second half of the 1980s) it has been started liberalization of political life (intensified the socoal life), what affected the educational process, especially in the humanitarian sciences. Ukraine's independence inspired the major organizational changes in here: in 1997, the institution became an academy, in 2005 – a university. This affected the global change of the educational content. This year BSMU joined the Bologna Process. A stable large number of foreign students is an indicator of these positive changes. The institution use to try the era of electronic technology now, having a good material and technical base for this.
