The emergence of the Reformation in the 16th century provoked a series of socio-political, cultural, ethnic and religious changes at the international level. The unity of the three "signatory" nations of the "Unio Trium Nationum" pact is attacked by the effects of the Reformation by questioning the unity of faith. Normally, Romanians should have taken advantage of this situation to strengthen their social, political, cultural, ethnic and religious position, but history shows the opposite. In what follows, we intend to present the reactions of confessions against the freedom of conscience in Transylvania in the 16th century.
